SUPER BIKERS and biking enthusiasts have a new hangout place with the opening of the latest KTM showroom at Jalan Damansara.

The Austrian bike has made its presence felt in the Malaysian biking scene in the last few years and its latest showroom is testimony to its increasing popularity.

The showroom is KTM’s exclusive outlet in the Klang Valley and relocation from its showroom in SS2, Petaling Jaya.

Boasting an area space of 1,212 sq m, the one-stop showroom is KTM's largest in South-East Asia, with ample display space as well as a pastry corner.

KUALA LUMPUR: Three motorcycle accessories shops were caught selling knock-offs of raincoats produced by an Italian motorcycle accessories maker.

The raids by officers of the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry were made at the shops located in Puchong, Shah Alam and Damansara at about 4pm yesterday.

GIVI Asia Sdn Bhd general manager On Hai Swee said all the shops belonged to the same person but the owner was not present during the raids.

“We have yet to ascertain the number of raincoats confiscated.

MERSING: Most of them are too young to hold a motorcycle licence but they’re already into stealing them. On Monday, police nabbed a gang of teenagers and school drop-outs aged 12 to 17 who would take the bikes, strip them down and sell the parts. The boys have been stealing bikes in the district for at least the past three months. A tip-off led police to two 17-year-olds in Endau, who spilled the beans immediately and led police to seven more gang members. They also took them to the hut in Endau where they cannibalised the motorcycles.
